Letterbox requirements
Mail has evolved over the years and as a result many personal letterboxes are too small for today’s mail.  Households now receive large magazines and A4 envelopes on a regular basis, making it difficult
for the postie to insert the mail fully into the letterbox which may make you an easier target for criminals. The best letterboxes are those which are lockable providing security and privacy by keeping the contents out of sight and reach of passers by.

Letterboxes which are deemed not to be secure or that may pose a security risk may receive a postcard from the postie urging the resident to consider changes to make the mail box more secure.
