Have a lock and key on your letterbox/post office box. |

Make sure your letterbox is large enough to accept, and hold, mail in the quantity and size you normally receive. |

Make sure you regularly clear your mailbox. |

If you are going away, get your local post office to hold your mail or ask a trusted friend to collect it, so it isn’t left unattended for a long period. |

Check that you have received all expected bills and statements. A substantial drop in the volume of your mail or a missing letter could indicate a thief has taken mail from your letterbox or even fraudulently redirected your mail to another address. |
